It's Us not the tool we use...

The other day I attended a Premier Talk by Tun Mahathir Muhammad at Pan Pac Sutera. Somebody asked if we should change our current system which is democracy to something else, as our current system seems not to be working as what the people would like it to be. In his response he gives an example of the usage of a knife; knife can be used to craft and create such delicate and beautiful things as our mind can imagine possible, at the same time the same knife that is used to create so many beautiful things can also be used as a weapon to hurt and kill others as the wicked mind wishes to. Come to think of it, well definitely nothing would happen unless we the HUMAN who think about it and act upon it. If we think of something nice, beautiful and bring good to all, definitely the good thing will become, if otherwise we think of all the bad and destructive things to happen, eventually the same will become. Thus, whatever the things or tools that we are blaming for all the bad and the destruction that is happening to us or around us, is not of any use unless we HUMAN use it for the things that we want it to be, whether bad or good. Therefore, let us all think wisely before we act...for the outcome will be the perfect mirror to our deeds whether it is good or the other way round!
