What can we do for our country?

JFK once said 'dont ask what the country can do for us, but ask what we can do for our country'. No doubt what he said was definitely true...how can we ask what the country can do to us, when in reality it is us who is running the country and who will benefit if the country is prosperous. We always making comments when something is not done as what we expected, but when we are asked to do something for our own benefit and comfort, we always said that it is not our responsibility and that we don't know how to do it! So, what then is our existence for, when everything should be done by others? Should we always rely on others to do everything for us, when we ourselves can do it and in fact even better because it is for our own benefit? Well think about it rather than busy thinking of what else to complain!
